ANGKOR SILK FAIR near Angkor Wat

ANGKOR SILK FAIR takes place every year near Angkor Wat, in beautiful Siem Reap.  Silk producers from all over Cambodia show their best productions.  The next Angkor Silk fair is from February 1-4, 2007 and is open to the public.  Link to http://www.angkorsilkfair.com
Fashion Shows
Cambodian and International Designers show the latest designs in silk textiles, clothing and fashion accessories in fashion shows scheduled throughout the evenings of the Fair.

Weaving Demonstrations
Khmer weaving is famous from ancient times for the weft tie-dye method and for the deep colors and pattern compositions.  Some of those designs are incorporated into today’s modern silk designs.  Some producers still weave in the same
Fun for all!

Angkor Silk Fair is fun for all.  Other products and organizations are asked to join in showing their products, such as Khmer spices, wines, and not-for-profit organizations working for social good in Cambodia.
